Currently undertaking a Master of Visual Art at Griffith University, she explores perception, memory and existence through light and colour. Brisbane’s Queenslander homes, quiet streets and familiar landscapes become scenes of fleeting beauty and everyday memory.
Her Light Series holds brief moments of beauty in paint, using memory to reconnect with reality. From this emerges the Solitude Series, placing the individual within nature. Through light, stillness and space, Aylee invites viewers to pause and reflect on their own existence.
